Lent & Easter 2011 –

The bishop has asked the clergy to make special arrangements for the observation of Lent and Easter next year. In the coming months plans for our parish will unfold. My former tutor from St. Deniol’s Library, Wales (Gladstone’s library), the Rev Dr Richard Buxton will be with us for part of Holy Week and Easter. Richard spent an overnight with us last week and is looking forward to leading us in prayer.

Part of our celebration next year will be to, hopefully, have a “Way of the Cross” in one of our churchyards – to that end I hope we can make the “pictures”/banners needed for it and Rev Richard & I hope that on holy Thursday we would have the washing of feet included in the evening commemoration of what Jesus did with his disciples on that evening long ago.
Other ideas are most welcome – maybe the other congregation besides Old St. Mary’s would like to take on board some of the things we have been doing in Clonmel in the last few years.
