Sunday School

Sunday School - All under Confirmation age are welcome, but if your child is under 4years one parent must stay with them. Might I suggest, that it might be a good thing for all participating parents to, at least, do the minimum Garda Vetting and so we able to “stand-in on occasion if necessary. Forms aailable from the Rector

Coffee After Worship

Coffee After Worship – It has been suggested that after the Sunday School on the 3^rd Sunday of the month that parents be encouraged to provide buns and that we make a donation to funds for materials for the Sunday School .

Safeguarding Trust & Youth Work –

Good news is that there are two volunteers to enable us to begin Sunday School!!! – we need at least one more. There will be some training, Garda Vetting and the Declaration of Safeguarding Trust to be completed, but we appear to be moving forward on this matter, at last!

Sunday School Training –

There will be training for Sunday School Teachers in Kilkenny on Saturday, 6th March. If anybody would like to come with the rector, just let the rector know – we need more for our youth work.

Training for Sunday School Teachers & Parish Panel

Training for Sunday School Teachers & Parish Panel – Before undertaking the role of Sunday School teacher/leader, all those who have volunteered must attend training in Safeguarding Trust. The next training day is on Saturday, 24th January 2009 in the Clubhouse Hotel, Patrick Street, Kilkenny from 10.00am-12noon. You must let me know if you intend being there before 19th January. Panel members must also attend the workers session as they need to know what the workers have been taught. After a light lunch, there will be a further training session for the panel members.

Sunday School

We now have some more volunteers and, to begin Sunday School , we just need to wait for their Garda vetting to be complete. A few more volunteers would guarantee the proper and continuous running of what I believe to be an integral part of parish life. The teaching and nurturing of our children in the faith of the Church should be a three-way partnership of home, Church and school
