Clonmel Festival Weekend –

The Borough Council and the committee set up to steer this major event combined walled town day & the Agri Food Day into one busy weekend. There was a lectured Town wall walk at twilight by Margaret Quinlan, a medieval banquet in one of the car parks, workshops for children, demonstrations of old crafts & trades, a mini-zoo, stalls of all manner of things, information on a wide range of mostly environmentally related topics and demonstration and the sale of wonderful organically and “home” produced food. It was an enormous success and bigger and better is planned for next year.
