Festival of Harvest Flowers, St. Paul's Cahir –

For those involved in the preparations for the Celtic Festival of flowers in Cahir the Summer months have been very busy. Thanks to the parishioners of St. Paul’s, this event was a huge success both financially and in bringing people to the church and providing an artistic occasion. To say that the church looked exquisitly beautiful would be the understatement of the year. It was truly an occasion to be remembered. The Very Rev Patrick Towers sermon lived up to expectations – challenging, bordering on the controversial and profoundly theological. I’m sure Mssrs Lyle & Tate never expected to have their golden syrup promoted in such a manner. Harry Carpendale & his group provided us with an evening of wonderful music at hte beginning. The final amount raised was €2,300 and thanks are due to the Rev Arthur & Hilary & the parishioners of Cahir and those who supported the event from other parts of the parish.
