Decorating churches for Christmas –
Everybody should help with this. We all love to go to a beautifully decorated church for Carol Services & Christmas & other festivals. Who does all this? Afaithful few! If you cannot help decorate, please give flowers etc or make a small donation to the cost – there is one!

Drop in Coffee morning –
Our next one will be when the redecoration & repairs made necessary by the flooding of the rectory (after the thaw)have been completed.

Decorations for Christmas –
It is usual to decorate our churches in time for the Carol Services. This does not happen by magic, nor do we have decorating elves in any of our churches!
If you want to enjoy the festive decorations in your church, ring the churchwardens or a fellow parishioner and help them arrange for a day and time to do the decoration – you bring, of course, contributions towards the final effect and you help with the dismantling after Christmas.

Decorating Old St Marys Church Clonmel for Confirmation–
For the Confirmation Service – Saturday, 26th June from 2.00pm – It would be good if the candidates helped prepare the church.

Harvest Thanksgivings –
These special occasions owe some of their appeal to the church decorations. In recent years contributions of flowers vegetables, fruit and greenery and help in actually doing the decorating has not been good. The same is true for Christmas and Easter.
Where the service is on a Sunday, Saturday would be the day for decorating – probably in mid-afternoon and for a weekday, during the day, up to 4.30pm approx would be suitable. And don’t forget the dismantling – we don’t have anybody to do this for us and many hands really do make light work!
