Shrapnel Fund –

I know you haven’t forgotten about the shrapnel fund which is part of our initiative to pay off our debt. Bags of coins continue to come in. We have aked that as many of you as possible would put your loose change into a jam jar and give the proceeds to us to help with our effort to get rid of the debt. Shirley Clooney has taken charge of the counting etc. Over €1,000has now been given in this part of our project.

Our Debt –

In mid-June this stood at just €40,000. It is, at present reducing at about €1,000 per month. Thank-you to all those families who continue to ensure that this burden on the parish will be gone in another four years and so is allowing us to make progress in other areas of parish life. Thanks are due to those who are contributing to removing this financial burden from us all. If you pledged an annual contribution you might consider giving it now. Thank-you!

We are on target, thank-you to all who are helping and , hopefully, we can continue to get on with other things in the knowledge that your generosity will ensure we don’t have to worry about the debt.

Our Debt

The response to our appeal to clear the debt have been tremendous.
Thank-you to all of you have committed yourselves to helping do this so far. The shrapnel fund (filling a jam jar with your loose change) has already yielded over €500.
The balance now stands at just under €49,000 and we are close to having sufficient monies pledged to clear the debt in the proposed time.

It is important that if you have pledged to either take out a standing order or give a sum of money that you actually do so.

Thank-you!
