Protestant Aid

Protestant Aid is a charity which provides aid to those who are in financial distress regardless of religion, background or any other categorisation. It is a Church of Ireland charity, which relies on donations from parishes or individuals for its funds. Funds are distributed through
the Church of Ireland rectors.
As with all such agencies, the recession is making enormous demands on funds and the trustees want to be in a position to help as many as possible. .
The House of Bishops has decided that Protestant Aid should seek more subscribers and that request is within the envelope in your newsletter – The smallest donation will help some family in a moment of dire need.
These envelopes have been sent to the rectors of our Church, North & South, for distribution. I do hope that as many of you as possible will respond and help to bring relief to those who really do find themselves in such difficulties as we would not wish on anybody.
