Bag –Pack (in aid of Hall Restoration)
As these notes go to print, day 2 of the bag pack is nearing its close. The 1st day, in spite of weather & there being few packers, €650 was raised. Day 2 had much better support and, once again, it was busy. Our thanks goes to George Hogg who planned this, work so diligently to try and get you all involved and has given so much time and effort to something he is passionate about – his Church. Those of you who could not take part missed a great social occasion where we met old friends and did some valuable community work while raising funds for the restoration of our parish hall.
Decorations for Christmas –
It is usual to decorate our churches in time for the Carol Services. This does not happen by magic, nor do we have decorating elves in any of our churches!
If you want to enjoy the festive decorations in your church, ring the churchwardens or a fellow parishioner and help them arrange for a day and time to do the decoration – you bring, of course, contributions towards the final effect and you help with the dismantling after Christmas.

Stella Days” –
The filming is over, Martin Sheen & the cast and production team have moved to Dublin to continue shooting before editing.
Holy Trinity church is being restored to its formed arrangement and it is hoped that there will be a good outcome from the experience for Fethard, which like many small towns has suffered a serious decline in recent years.
Did you see any of the action? Did you see Martin Sheen? - something to tell your grandchildren about and hopefully they will know a livelier & recovered Fethard in the future.

Drop in Coffee morning –
Our next one will be on Saturday 15th January 2011 from 10am – 12.30pm. Just come along, have a cup of tea or coffee & a scone, meet each other, have a chat and, if you wish leave a small donation to the Hall Fund.
Bereavements –
Our sympathy goes to our Archdeacon, John Murray & his family on the death of his mother at the great age of 103 years.
A memorial Service was held in Rathdowney where the Archdeacon is Rector of.
May the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace

Rev Iain Knox-
On Sunday, 7th November the Rev Iaian Knox celebrated 30 years of ministry in our diocese. The Rev Iain celebrated Holy Communion in Old St. Mary’s, assisted by the Rev Arthur Carter, The Ven Michael Nuttal who preached & the Rector. Friends and former parishioners also attended. A small presentation was made by the rector to the Rev Iain to mark the occasion.
Church of Ireland Gazzete –
This publication is published weekly and is but one of three such weekly magazines within the Anglican Communion. It keeps members up to date with what is going on on our island. It arrives, usually every Thursday, except for two editions in July/August. Subscription is €40 per annum (includes postage of bundle)– orders are teken by the Rector & subscriptions for those who already receive it are now due.
Diocesan Magazines –
Eleven publications appear every year and cost €30 for that period. Each parish has a section and it is a great way to keep up with happening in the wider Church & the diocese. If you would like to receive it, contact the Rector with your €30 before 20th November 2010. Two “spares” are always available as “tasters” for those considering subscribing.
It has been assumed that those who have been receiving the magazine will still want to receive theirs monthly – subscriptions should be given to the Rector

Cashel, Waterford & Lismore Clerical Society –
This took place in Clonmel on 18th November. The Rev James Mulhall was the celebrant at the Eucharist & the Rev William Montgomery, Presbyterian Minister for Fermoy & Cahir was our special speaker. He spoke about his journey in faith, which began in Coleraine, Northern Ireland.
