Caroline Moreau & The Café Chantant Choir –
On Friday, 9th July, Caroline Moreau sang in Old St. Mary’s as part of the Junction Festival. This was a concert with a difference. It attracted a full attendance.
The choir was formed only a week before the concert and consisted of local children and adults. They sang a range of French songs and some excerpts from musicals. But the highlight of the night was the wonderful voice of Caroline herself.
This was part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of the founding of the Junction Festival. It’s success is due to the innovative vision of David and Theresa Teevan and looks like growing in strength and popularity for many more years.

Barbeque –
This event was a great success with a sunny afternoon and a goodly number of people who appear to have enjoyed themselves. Our share of the proceeds is €400, which will be a help in ensuring our parish remains solvent in these difficult times.
Childrens’ Festival Service –
Our school joined the other schools of the Cashel, Waterford & Lismore area of our diocese for their festival service on Friday, 11th June. It was an inspiring act of worship with each school contributing throughout
Walled Town Days –
The sun shone on a lively and busy walled town day in Fethard on Sunday, 22nd August 2010. Thank-you to Heather, Thelma and their helpers who served teas at Holy Trinity Church and raised some much needed funds for the renovation and maintenance of that wonderful building
This was a huge success. The town was packed with enthusiastic people, many in costume. Large numbers visited Holy Trinity church and walked the walls.
The flags flew from the church and tower roofs and lots of people enjoyed the refreshments porvided by parishioners and friends. This was an inspired idea by somebody and much credit is due to this congregation for their efforts to maintain and renovate their church.
About €600 was raised and will go towards the church restoration fund. Thank-you!

Confirmation Follow-up –
Those who were confirmed in June expressed a wish to be involved in worship after confirmation – as some of you are going away to boarding school, might I suggest sometime on Saturday, 11th September for a get-together to discuss what we might do a little training for – whatever it is, there will be about 2/3 sessions only involved and after that, perhaps a get-together for planning about once every three months – let me know, in person or by text what time might suit and we can organise a time that suits most best.
If there is anybody else who might like to join us, please feel free to make contact.
